Overview
Barbara Claassen Smucker - It is 1917. Young Peter Neufeld lives a peaceful life in the village of Tiegen in Russia. One day there are murmurings of terror in the country; bandits appear, unexpectedly, terrorizing, stealing, and killing. Some of the Mennonites defend themselves, but is this right? Hope comes from Mennonites across the waters. Will Peter and his family find freedom in Canada?
